Our team has over 45 years of combined experience working in the field.  We embrace regular peer mentoring so that we are always giving our best to each of our clients.  Each clinician at GTC values putting their client first, making sure to move their client, family, and caregivers towards their goals.

  • Kate Grandbois

    Owner & Managing Director; Speech Language Pathologist & Board Certified Behavior Analyst

    Kate is a dually certified SLP / BCBA with over 15 years of clinical experience working in private practice, outpatient clinics, outpatient hospital settings, and consulting to private schools and legal teams. She specializes in augmentative alternative communication, autism and associated disorders, language development, and integrating AAC into the educational/vocational programming of persons with behavioral needs. Her interests are multidisciplinary treatment, collaboration, mentorship and adult education, and implementation science. She is currently the co-host of the SLP Nerdcast podcast, adjunct faculty at Fitchburg State University, has several publications and presents at national conferences. She has served as adjunct faculty at Northeastern University, and is the former president and cofounder of The Speech and Language Network, Inc.

  • Abby Cummings

    Clinic Director; Speech Language Pathologist

    Abby has 6 years of experience working as a speech language pathologist in early intervention, skilled nursing facilities, and substantially separate school programs. Abby received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Abby’s specialities and interests include supporting individuals who use Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC), articulation and phonological disorders, as well as early language development. Abby has created and offered skilled trainings and materials to providers and community members with a focus on communication partner training and supporting individuals with complex communication needs across environments.

  • Johanna Gray

    Speech Language Pathologist

    Johanna has experience working as a speech-language pathologist in the private practice and substantially separate classroom/day program setting. She has previously worked and has interest in supporting individuals who have speech sound disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, those who communicate using AAC, and more. Johanna received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She enjoys taking a client centered approach to create a safe and motivational environment for learning.

  • We are located in Lexington Center at 16 Clarke Street Unit 21, right behind the Lexington Public Library

  • Yes!

    We are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Harvard Pilgrim, United Healthcare Harvard Pilgrim Alliance, and Mass General Brigham. We also accept private pay and can provide you with documentation to get reimbursed for out-of-nerwork services.

    If you are using your insurance we will need a copy of your insurance card on file. Please email that to billing@grandboistherapy.com

  • You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate if you are paying for services out of pocket.

    We store credit card information on file to process co-pays, co-insurances, and other required payments

  • Our sessions are 45 minutes in length, with 30-35 minutes reserved for direct treatment and the last 10 minutes reserved for patient / family feedback and documentation

  • Our AAC evaluations take place across multiple sessions and we prioritize involvement from the client’s family, educators, and other communication partners.

    After the evaluation is complete we offer training to make sure the client, the family, and everyone involved feels comfortable moving forward.
